Zetsu is the head of the Dojo and a licensed instructor in the Yukimura tradition, having received formal certification directly through Yukimura Haruki’s lineage. His teaching reflects years of close study with a focus not only on technique, but on the deeper principles that define this approach to rope.

Rather than treating shibari as a collection of forms, Zetsu teaches it as a living interaction between two people. His classes emphasize attention, timing, and responsiveness, guiding students to move beyond memorized patterns into a more intuitive and communicative practice.

Known for a clear and structured teaching style, he breaks down complex ideas into accessible steps while maintaining the subtlety that makes this work meaningful. Students often find that what begins as learning “how to tie” quickly becomes learning how to observe, respond, and connect.

As head of the Dojo, Zetsu has developed a curriculum that supports both beginners and experienced practitioners, with a strong emphasis on foundation, safety, and depth. His goal is not simply to teach rope, but to help students build a practice that continues to evolve over time.
